About WedCut

WedCut is a calorie-tracking and group-accountability app built for brides, grooms and their wedding parties. You set your wedding date, invite the people already coming to the wedding, and everyone logs against their own private targets while counting down to the same day. It is built by the team at WedCut, and it is live on the iOS App Store.

Why does WedCut exist?

Because tracking alone doesn’t work for most people, and the apps that exist were built for someone with an open-ended goal and infinite patience. A wedding is the opposite of that. There is a real date, it is not moving, and there is already a group of people organised around it.

Nobody was building for that. So we did. If you want the longer version of the argument, it’s in the manifesto.

What does WedCut believe?

Three things, and every design decision in the app comes back to one of them.

How does WedCut handle privacy?

Every visibility setting defaults to off. Other members can see that you joined the group — not your weight, your calorie target, or what you logged, unless you decide to share it. Nobody can set or see anyone else’s targets, including whoever created the group.

That isn’t a feature we bolted on. Sharing a goal with people you’ll be photographed beside only works if you control exactly what they see. You can delete your account at any time; data is held for a 30-day grace period and then permanently deleted. Full detail is in the privacy policy.

Who is WedCut for?

Brides, grooms, bridesmaids, maids of honour, groomsmen — anyone in a wedding party, aged 18 or over. It works for every wedding, including same-sex weddings. Members who don’t want a weight goal at all can join in “supporting, no weight goal” mode and still be part of the group.

WedCut is a wellness and fitness app, not a medical app. If you have a history of disordered eating, please speak to a doctor before using WedCut or any tracker.

Where is WedCut available?

WedCut is live on the iOS App Store in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, New Zealand and Australia. An Android version is in testing and isn’t publicly available yet.

You can see how it works on our YouTube channel, and what it costs on the pricing page.
